No, but thanks for trying! Committed to going to see my nephew to deliver what Santa didn't in time... Of course Tony (alexander38) will claim it had to be a Customs issue - and obviously not FedEx - that made stuff shipped Dec 14 late...!rooferdave wrote:We are planning 7-7:30 at the clubhouse does that work better for you?captainmaniac wrote:I had been thinking of joining in at your CBYC get together but have other commitments for Friday, but maybe will see you on Sat at the show.
Maybe we can arrange a Toronto Island or Credit Village Marina Rendezvous for next summer where we can actually include the boats too !!!

What a day it is today in Toronto, snowstorm hopefully won't keep people away, but it will be tricky getting there.
Take transit, the 511 Bathurst out of Bathurst station on the Green line subway or the 509 Harbourfront out of Union Station, streetcars go directly into Exibition Place and the boatshow.
I'll be there tomorrow,Sunday,(have to work today) but am looking forward to the show.
On another note:, I met with Rooferdave last night at CBYC and totally enjoyed it. I have found my new home for my baby and am looking forward to many great boating years out of CBYC.
CBYC is definitely a hidden jewel among marinas.
Thanks Dave for a great evening

I decided to hold off for the show until tomorrow as well... wasn't looking forward to the QEW traffic with today's snowfall. Hopefully the wife and I will get there around opening time and hit the bigger boats before the lines get too long, then meander throughout the place until pretty much closing time. Might head over to Henry's around lunch time if it doesn't look too busy to get a seat. Heading out to shovel 3" of the white stuff now.
Glad you decided to stay on Lake Ontario. I have been in to Bluffers a few times (next door) and found it to be a reasonable place. Plus you are more centrally located on the lake - if you decide to to head down Cobourg or Kingston way, across to the US or Niagara region, or west towards Hamilton the jaunts aren't that far. And you are only a few minutes to Toronto Island too!
