nitrogen enriched gas

went to my local shell today in search of non ethanol fuel, pumps say no ethanol... but when I went in to enquire they said it has nitrogen in it which "scrubs" your tanks, googled it but still am not sure. What is the scoop all?

Sounds like the same inriched gas my mother-in-law had after eating chili at the last meeting of flatulators anonymous....

I am getting low on fuel (burned 100 gallons in last 3 weeks) and am worried it will act like e10, but need fuel soon

ethonal is corn based. totally different product then all the additives that shell or BP or amaco or whoever uses...

I don't think I would worry about it Dave. Nitrogen is an inert gas. They may use it as an additive but I don't think it will mess your system up.

Nitrogen is an inert gas. You (and your engine) breath air, which is about 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen, so its not dangerous.

To make it a liquid, your gas would have to be cooled to −346Â°F, so obviously the gasoline company didn't mix "nitrogen" in your gas for cleaning.

Just marketing BS ...
