went to my local shell today in search of non ethanol fuel, pumps say no ethanol... but when I went in to enquire they said it has nitrogen in it which "scrubs" your tanks, googled it but still am not sure. What is the scoop all?

Nitrogen is an inert gas. You (and your engine) breath air, which is about 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen, so its not dangerous.
To make it a liquid, your gas would have to be cooled to −346°F, so obviously the gasoline company didn't mix "nitrogen" in your gas for cleaning.
Just marketing BS ...
